Hendiadys
Hendiadys: noun. A figure of speech in which two words connected by a conjunction are used to express a single notion that would normally be expressed by an adjective and a substantive, such as grace and favour instead of gracious favour (Australian Pocket Oxford Dictionary).
“Graduates from subjects such as science, engineering, and medicine are strongly overrepresented among Islamist movements in the Muslim world … also engineers alone are strongly over-represented among graduates in violent groups in both realms. This is all the more puzzling for engineers are virtually absent from left-wing violent extremists and only present rather than over-represented among right-wing extremists …”

Slight Friday happiness
I logged back into my site just now and I saw the picture (below) that I had added and it made me happy.
First
I love it. It’s so clean and uncluttered.
